We are a new support group for minority homeschool families. You do not have to be from the DFW area to join. We welcome all who either homeschool, support homeschooling, or those who homeschool and work from home or own their own business.

**Upon joining our group, we ask that you become an ACTIVE PARTICIPANT. Please understand that DFW Homeschool Cafe’s goal is to have an active online community. Your comments, suggestions and ideas are not only welcomed but encouraged! In addition, our support group will get together for park days, field trips, activities, etc.

**Work-at-Home and other professional business owners may post about their business either on their own page, the business owners forum, or the group page for business professionals. Please do not post unsolicited comments about your business on other members' pages.

In addition, we ask that you are respectful of all other members and their families online. Families may consist of people from diverse backgrounds, faith, religion, race, nationalities, etc. Keep in mind our main goal is to help and support each other in our homeschool journey. Although our approach may be different, we all share the same goal--TO PREPARE OUR CHILDREN FOR LIFE.

PARK DAY AT BOWMAN SPRINGS PARK (LAKE ARLINGTON)
By Angela Jenkins

We had a wonderful time at Bowman Springs Park (Lake Arlington). While the children were enjoying their playtime together, the parents were able to converse or fish at the lake.

I would like to thank Stanola and Treina for helping out with the refreshments. Also, it was a joy to finally meet Carla (Revwife) and Joyce's family. I am really looking forward to future Park Days.

There's syringes, medicine vials, and needles next to the milk in the fridge.

Home health care is a bit overwhelming to say the least. Antibs given every 8 hours. 8AM | 4PM | 12AM from 10-20-2009 | 11-27-2009. That's a bit much for an eight year old all from stepping on a nail.....WOW!
